FIREFLY helps fire departments manage incidents as they happen and understand them afterward. The base package only requires the firefighter app and an account on the FIREFLY platform.
At the start of a shift, each firefighter opens the app and connects with the platform. From there, department leadership, chiefs, battalion chiefs, Incident Commanders, safety officers, and company officers can observe and manage incident activity in real time and after the fact.
FIREFLY captures the operational timeline, critical incident events, personnel accountability, CAD context, analytics, and NERIS reporting support in one platform.

Start with the app and platform
Download the app
Each firefighter uses the FIREFLY app on the phone they already carry.
Connect at shift start
Firefighters connect with the FIREFLY platform at the start of their active shift.
No hardware required
The base package is software-only. Departments can try incident accountability without deploying new devices.
Add devices later
Departments can add CANAIRY sensors or FIREFLY tags when they want exposure monitoring or finer location fidelity.

Manage incidents in real time
Department visibility
Leadership can view active incidents across the department and review completed incidents afterward.
Incident command tools
Incident Commanders can manage incident activity, personnel accountability, assignments, and scene progression.
Safety officer awareness
Safety officers can follow personnel status and operational context as the incident changes.
Officer access
Chiefs, battalion chiefs, company officers, and other approved users can access the incident record.

Capture critical events for NERIS
Operational milestones
Track key timing events such as water on fire, searches, evacuations, ventilation, or other department-defined milestones.
Patient care events
Record critical EMS-related events such as oxygen administration or endotracheal intubation when relevant to the incident.
Mayday context
Log high-risk events such as mayday, lost personnel, rescue actions, and resolution timing.
Timeline evidence
Critical events become part of the incident timeline used for review, reporting, and NERIS scene descriptions.

Integrate, report, and analyze
CAD endpoints
FIREFLY provides endpoints that make CAD integration straightforward for existing CAD service providers.
NERIS workflows
FIREFLY connects incident data to NERIS reporting workflows and helps reduce manual reconstruction.
AI-assisted completion
AI-assisted report completion helps turn operational records into reports that are easier to review and file.
Advanced analytics
Departments can trend response times and commander-reported critical events across incidents, crews, stations, and time.
